A sweet story from Walmart???
I shared some crazy stories that have happened to me at Walmart before, but today I have a sweet one. I ran to Walmart with Heidi earlier this morning and she had just fallen asleep when I got in the parking lot. She was crying previously so I was thinking my shopping trip would have to be short and possibly miserable for us both. Thankfully she fell asleep. I carefully carried her to the store and set her carrier in the cart. I pushed it along, very gingerly on the carpet that is there at the front of the store, she still slept. Then I got on the hard floor. KA-CHUNK KA-CHUNK KA-CHUNK!!!!!!!! I said out loud, "Darn it!" and I proceeded to turn around to get a new cart as Heidi opened her eyes. The sweetest Walmart worker lady, I didn't look at her name tag but she was the one working on the flowers, must have seen my dilema and she asked me if she could go get a new cart for me. I said oh yes, that would be wonderful! She went and got me a new cart and even checked that it rolled silently! How nice!! I put Heidi in that cart, she had fallen back asleep when the ka-chunking ended, and we had a very relaxing shopping experience. Thank you flower lady at Walmart, you totally made my day!

Pretty Pink Piggies
Why are babies toes so darn cute? I can't even put into words how much I love Heidi's toes. I hurt my teeth when I look at them, do you get that? I could probably bite through a penny at all the cuteness LOL! When I nurse her, I play with her feet. She doesn't mind, usually. She likes it when I kiss her tosies and pat my cheeks with them and play peek a boo. She makes me laugh when she grabs her feet and plays with them. I think one day soon she might get a toe in her mouth. I always love my youngest kid's feet and just when they are starting to get too big, I have another baby and get those tiny toes once more. What am I going to do now that Heidi is the last baby??? I hope I am not wanting to kiss her toes when she is 10, that is just weird! LOL!!!

Strawberry Spinach Salad
I know this isn't a new recipe, but my friend Josie made this a few weekends ago while we were visiting and I can't stop making it. It is so fresh and delicious and beautiful. We had it with grilled chicken last night. Here is the recipe.
Dressing
1 lemon
2 tbsp white wine vinegar
1/3 cup sugar
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp poppy seeds
Salad
¼ cup sliced natural almonds, toasted
8 oz. (1 ½ cups) strawberries, hulled and quartered
½ med. Cucumber, sliced and cut in half
¼ small red onion, sliced into thin wedges (1/4 cup)
1 package (6 ounces) baby spinach
For dressing, zest lemon to measure ½ tsp zest. Juice lemon to measure 2 tbsp juice. Combine zest, juice, vinegar, sugar, oil and poppy seeds in a bowl. Whisk until well blended. Cover; refrigerate until ready to use.
Preheat oven to 350° F. For salad, spread almonds in single layer over bottom of a small bar pan.
Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly toasted. Remove from oven; cool almonds in bar pan. *I toast mine in a skillet.*
Meanwhile, hull strawberries; cut strawberries into quarters.
Score cucumber lengthwise; remove seeds. Slice cucumber; cut slices in half/ Slice onion into thin wedges.
Place spinach in large serving bowl; add strawberries, cucumber and onion. Whisk dressing; pour over salad, gently tossing to coat. Sprinkle with almonds. Serve immediately.

Meet my amigurumi bunny
I made this cute bunny for my friend Karalee's little girl. She went to build a bear and made a bunny and I thought this would be a cute baby for her bunny. Build a bear sells little babies of the animals you stuff. Anyway, I thought it would take me about an hour to make it so I started about 10:30-11 pm. The crocheting didn't take me very long. It was the darn sewing. I didn't finish until almost 2 am. I was tired the next day! We gave it to her the following morning. I didn't have time to look at it enough. So I took a picture. I think I might have to make another one so I can make Jared tell me how cute it is a million times. I only got to make him tell me about 5 times with the first one. All my kids are begging for one now. Maybe I can surprise them for Easter... Isn't this bunny the CUTEST???

The answer is...
FROZEN BREASTMILK!!!
When Heidi had the flu she didn't eat much. I needed to pump to survive. I had all this breastmilk and since Heidi won't take a bottle, I wanted to freeze it in 1 oz servings to mix with cereal when she started to take solid food. We didn't have an ice tray in the house. I did have a silicon heart shaped baking mold. So I poured it in and froze it. When I took one out to mix with her cereal it just looked so funny so I had to take a picture.
Here is Heidi ready for her first taste of solid food.
I mixed a little applesauce in, too. She liked it and did well eating. I think she actually swallowed some of it.
We fed her on a video call with my Nanny and Papa so they could see her eat for the first time. I love the internet!
You can see us all looking at them on the computer.
Megan took a turn feeding her. She did a pretty good job. Heidi didn't make it easy. Her legs and arms were kicking like crazy. She was pretty excited.
I love to feed babies, it is so fun.

ok, I feel better!
Thanks for making me feel better!!! Don't be intimidated about having to post and make things for others... You could bake some cookies or something easy! It could be anything. It does say you don't guarantee they will like it. It could be something funny!
I am just glad I have friends again. I thought I was abandoned :)

Homemade Gifts Giveaway!
I got this on my friend's blog. In order for me to receive a handmade gift from her, I have to post it on my blog as well. I am a little excited to play this game!
So, if you want to play, leave a comment but read the whole post first, because there is a condition.
The first five people to respond to this post will receive something made by me to you. There are some restrictions:
1. I make no guarantees you will like what I make.
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It will be done sometime within the next couple months.
4. You have no clue what it will be, but it will be made with love.
The catch is you must post this on your blog and offer the same to the first five people who post it on their blog. The first five people to do so and leave a comment letting me know they did will receive a homemade gift from me.
